Connect Todoist

Copy the API token

Todoist gives every account one ready-made API token — nothing to create, just copy it.

  • Open Todoist → Settings → Integrations → Developer tab.
  • Copy the “API token” shown there.

Permissions

The token has full access to your Todoist account — there are no narrower scopes. Treat it like a password; you can reset it from the same screen at any time, which instantly invalidates the old one.

Paste it into Cortex

  • Connect AI page → Connected tools → “Connect a tool” → pick Todoist.
  • Paste the token into the “API token” field and click Connect.

Confirm it worked

Once the tool count shows, try “what’s on my Todoist today?” in any connected AI.
