Connect Coolify
Let your AIs read your servers and deployments — or trigger deploys.
Two flavors
Coolify appears twice in the picker. “Coolify (MCP)” connects to your instance’s built-in MCP server — best for reading servers, applications and databases. “Coolify (API)” connects to the REST API — it adds actions like triggering deploys. You can connect both.
Create the API token
- Open your Coolify dashboard and go to Keys & Tokens → API tokens.
- Click “Create New Token” and name it “Cortex”.
- Pick the permission level: “read-only” is enough for the MCP flavor; deploying through the API flavor needs write access.
- Copy the token now — Coolify will not show it again.
Paste it into Cortex
Coolify is self-hosted, so Cortex also needs to know where your instance lives.
- Connect AI page → Connected tools → “Connect a tool” → pick a Coolify flavor.
- Enter your instance URL — e.g. https://coolify.example.com/mcp for MCP, or https://coolify.example.com/api/v1 for the API.
- Paste the token and click Connect.
- If your Coolify runs on a LAN or VPN address (10.x, 192.168.x, Tailscale), tick “Allow private network” first.
Confirm it worked
A passing connection test reports the discovered tool count before anything is saved. Then try “what applications are running on my server?” in any connected AI.
