Connect AI (MCP)
Plug your brain into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor — any MCP client.
Why this is the point of Cortex
Cortex speaks MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard AI assistants use to reach external tools. Connect once and every conversation can search your memory, read your prompts, and save new neurons — no copy-pasting context ever again.
Setting up a connection
- Connect AI page → pick your client (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or any custom MCP client).
- Claude and Cursor: copy the ready-made config snippet with your connection key.
- ChatGPT: one click creates the OAuth connector — approve it in ChatGPT and you are linked.
- Each connection is its own revocable key. Your plan sets how many you can have (Free: 1, paid: unlimited).
What connected AIs can do
- Search the brain and read neurons (respecting scope and team boundaries).
- Save conversations, decisions, and new notes as neurons.
- Fetch your prompt library by name.
- Work inside your Active Scope — a scoped project keeps the AI in that context.
